Texas A journalist was fired from his job at being caught working part time as an erotic dancer. Feel has been a victim of gender discrimination, women are suing his old workplace.
As reported by Reuters on Friday, May 11, 2012, a woman named Sarah Tressler worked as a newspaper reporter in the Houston Chronicle. "I am very disappointed by the dismissal of this, because many editors who say my work are good," said Tressler.
In addition to writing for newspapers, Tressler also wrote an anonymous blog titled "Diary of The Angry Erotic Dancers'. In his blog, this 30-year-old woman using the name 'Sarah' and write about the ins and outs of the world of erotic dancers.
Who would have thought, the weekly Houston Press later revealed his identity in an article titled 'Journalist At Lunch, Erotic Dancers At Night'. After the article was published earlier this year, the Houston Chronicle Tressler dismissed the claim that he did not include his work as an exotic dancer in the employment of data.
"In this form there is no question regarding my work as an exotic dancer, and I answered all questions truthfully," she said with disappointment. He also sent a claim to the largest-circulation newspaper in the state of Texas with the help of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Tressler's attorney, Gloria Allred, his client's dismissal was irrelevant because the job as an erotic dancer does not affect his ability as a great journalist. "This decision is gender bias as most erotic dancers are women, and firing an employee simply for being an erotic dancer would have a major impact," said Allred.
Tressler own plans to continue his career elsewhere reporters. Until now, the Houston Chronicle declined to comment.
