Spartacus: Blood and Sand premiered at MAX in July 2010 and became one of the television series is much discussed. Premieres Friday, June 22 at 21:00 pm on MAX, ten-episode Spartacus: Vengeance begins with the story a few weeks after the massacre. Capua was in chaos, the gladiator managed to escape and form angry allies.

Spartacus wanted to avenge the man responsible for the death of his wife, but he soon realizes that her destiny is more than just revenge for the death of Sura. Its mission is to build troops, freed the slaves and overthrows the Roman government.

Australian actor Liam McIntyre (Ektopos, Radev, Neighbours, The Pacific) act as Spartacus, the main character in the series-winning movie is commendable. McIntyre joined the ranks of actors and actresses from the previous season series such as Spartacus, Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Battlestar Galactica) as Lucretia; Peter Mensah (Avatar, 300, The Incredible Hulk) as Oenomaus or Doctore known; Manu Bennett (The Marine, 30 Days of Night) as Crixus; Dustin Clare (Underbelly, Satisfaction) as Gannicus; Nick E. Tarabay (Crash, CSI: Miami) as Ashur, and Katrina Law (Third Watch) as Mira.

The new season also brings back row players from the 'Blood and Sand' as Craig Parker (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) as Gaius Claudius Glaber, the Roman commander Spartacus throws into slavery, and his wife are charming but devious Ilithyia (Accidents Happen), played by Viva Bianca. Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Dirt) also joined in the series and serves as Naevia, a former slave who disposed of Lucretia Ludus due affair with Crixus

Spartacus: Vengeance is executive produced by Rob Tapert (The Grudge, Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), Steven S. DeKnight (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sam Raimi (Spider-Man and The Evil Dead), and Joshua Donen (The Quick and the Dead). Creative team in the series Spartacus: Vengeance is the same creative team with the two previous seasons, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Spartacus: Vengeance premiered with two episodes screened on an ongoing basis, Friday at 21.00 pm on MAX.
